That's right, it's on! The Great TECHNICS giveaway has finally arrived. We are giving away ONE (1) Technics SL-1200MK2 Turntable - the greatest turntable EVER BUILT - once a month, for 12 months!
The giveaway is a celebration of 2 things...
1) To mark our 10 Year Anniversary of 1200s.com!
2) It's our way of saying thanks for the many years of support. We ARE THE Technics 1200 experts, and our original site - www.1200s.com - has been online serving the DJ Community since 1997! That's right, 1200s.com has been selling online since 1997! We started back in 1992 as a company called GALAXY MUSIC - it was a resource for DJs worldwide buying records & DJ equipment online. We were the ONLY company selling Vinyl online with Audio samples (we used .wav files), and shipped all over the world! Back then, we utilized our web site, bulletin board systems, CompuServe, Prodigy, and AOL chat rooms to keep in touch with customers - we even had a very popular e-mail newsletter with over 32,000 members worldwide. Mind you, this was all in the infancy of the internet, so we had no idea of where all this was taking us, all we knew was that there were DJs all over the world, and everyone needed help! It was quite a time for us. We then naturally became the EXPERTS on the famed 1200s turntables. Helping people out with repairs and troubleshooting, eventually specializing in the sale of Technics SL1200MK2 parts and accessories. In 1997, we established 1200s.com, and old all the parts for the 1200s, and then in 1999, we branched into repairs of the unit, and we were the only site selling refurbished 1200s with a Full Warranty! Our service technicians are the TOP in their field, especially when it comes to working on these beautiful machines. So, this is our way of saying thanks for the many years of support.
We can't say it's been easy, and this 16 year journey has been rough. We've seen 2 stores open and shut down during a six year period in the midst of the the 9/11 attacks. We've experienced the death of two (2) exceptional employees (1 was killed in the 9/11 attacks), and the other a horrible Drunk Driving Accident. We've made a lot of friends, and lifetime customers. Of course, we've also made alot of mistakes, and have worked hard the past 3 years to correct them. Our new partners are excited to take the company to the next level, and we want all of our customers to benefit from our growth!
We've launched our flag ship store, DJPROAUDIO.com - to coincide with the 10 year anniversary, and we plan on opening up our 3rd store in Dec 2009 with other locations to follow. The website will always be a work in progress as we will be constantly impementing and testing new technologies to benefit our customers.

- This drawing is available to ANYONE IN THE WORLD!
- We will provide FREE Ground Shipping to winners within the continental U.S.
- Winners outside of the continental U.S. (including Puerto Rico, Hawaii, & Alaska), and all international winners will be responsible for shipping & insurance charges of the unit to your own area, in addition to any taxes, duties, and/or VAT assessed by your country (we have no control over this). We will ship the appropriate turntable for your area (correct voltage settings 115V or 220V)
- Limit one (1) winner per household
- Winners are required to submit their full contact information for product delivery, and press contact information.
- Winners are required to cooperate with any and all press relations in conjuction with this giveaway. Including, but not limited to, interviews, pictures, and filming.
- We reserve the right to cancel this giveaway at any time and for any reason. We will provide a 30 day notice on our web site if we decide to cancel, postpone, or modify the giveaway at any time.
- All winners must allow a 1-8 week delivery time frame for the product to arrive - longer for international winners (outside the U.S.)
- We are not responisble for any damage incurred to the unit during shipping. Ample insurance will be taken out for your protection, however, any damages incurred will have to be settled between the winner and the courier.
- This giveaway is bound by the laws of the State of New York, and any disagreement arising from said giveaway will be settled by abritration in Kings County Civil Court.
- Winners will be notified via Certified Mail of their winning - failure to respond within the specified time frame (30 days) constitues a forfeiture of the winning prize - the only exception are members of the United States Armed Forces - there is no time frame for you, we'll hold the prize until you are ready to receive!
